264 Bushels: Papermaking and Collage Workshop by Tara Stallworth Lee

Papermaking and Collage Workshop

Saturday, March 9 1pm-4pm

at The Old Bailey Gallery, 4909 5th Avenue South, Birmingham AL

(Participation is limited and requires sign-up in advance)

Join Tara Stallworth Lee and Studio By The Tracks at the Old Bailey Gallery for a papermaking and collage workshop focused on recycling and reinventing unrealized or unfinished artwork. Transform your works on paper, documents,  ephemera, or textiles into the raw materials and elements of new work. Bring your old artwork or paper materials to make handmade paper and collage. Don’t have any unfinished artwork (hahaha), don’t worry–we will provide materials too!

Participants will also have the chance to contribute to Tara’s community project being installed at the Old Bailey.

264 Bushels is a community art project and exhibition inspired by Tara Lee’s time as Artist-In-Residence at Studio By The Tracks. You are invited to participate in collaborative activities which will create the raw material for this site-specific project as it evolves over the course of the month.

The month’s activities will culminate in a public presentation and performance of the completed work on Saturday, April 6th.
